Dearest friends and family:

I write to you this day (05July) with a heavy but joyous heart. I'm devoting this entire update to an extremely important message. It's not on the usual topic, my dear wife Karen, but it is one that I feel led to share with you. Some of us know the message and most, if not all, of us have heard the message. The question is what have we done with the message? It is for everyone man, woman, boy and girl a matter of life and death.

I will send another update after Karen's doctor visit on Thursday, 07July. Please know that she did well with the surgery and is resting comfortably.

Today, family and friends gathered to say goodbye to another Karen, Mrs. Karen Kenobbie. She was also battling against metastatic breast cancer. Just a few days ago, on July 1st, God chose complete healing by calling her home to heaven. God says in Revelation 21:4 that "he will wipe away every tear, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away".

Have you thought about what happens when YOU die?

No matter our background, experiences or social status in life we are all on the same course. Death will come to us all. It isn't a pleasant subject and we eagerly avoid it or at best gingerly discuss it. Now, this isn't a message of doom and gloom. This is a message of hope. For those who accept the free gift of salvation, death is not the end of all we know and experience. My family has talked at length about life and death since finding out Karen has "terminal" cancer. We have the assurance that God is in control and when our time on earth is finished our time in heaven is just beginning. We pray that you will receive that same assurance. Please read the following versus from God's word carefully:

John 3:16-18
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son."

Ephesians 2:8-9
"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast."
There is nothing you can do to make you good enough to get into Heaven. It is the gift of God through faith in Jesus Christ. There isn't a certain prayer that must be prayed to accept this gift. It's humbly admitting your sins, need for forgiveness and acceptance of the gift paid for through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.

It's my prayer that you receive this message in the spirit it is sent; with love, compassion and hope that you may hear and receive the free gift of salvation. For my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ may you never tire, be timid or indifferent to sharing your faith with others. It is a matter of eternal life.
