Merry Christmas!
We celebrated the birth of Christ on 24 December because of my work schedule. As always we had a wonderful time together, but this year was extra special. Karen was here to celebrate with us and despite man’s bleak outlook for her health back in May; she was up and about wrapping last minute gifts and sharing time with family and friends.
We were humbled by guests bearing gifts and several anonymous gifts left outside our door. We are blessed to have such wonderful, generous friends. Thank you seems so inadequate.
Today, 25DEC05, marks 7 months since diagnosis and another reason to celebrate God’s goodness. God is good!
The bladder infection Karen had last week appears to be gone with no lasting affects. She is having some pain in the known regions where the cancer is and we’re praying that it’s the cancer leaving and not growing.
Karen is scheduled for an infusion of Zometa and the usual routine of blood tests on the 29December. She also will do a test designed to check on kidney function. We will not have the results of these tests until her next visit on 05January.
We are changing insurance carriers effective 01January06. Please pray for a smooth transition of coverage, wisdom for us and the doctors and remission of the cancer.
That's all the update for this week. Thank you for checking on Karen's progress.
