29 April 2007

What a normal week we have enjoyed! No doctor appointments and Karen’s energy levels are up to the highest we’ve seen in a long while. It may sound strange but a day when Karen can play (do the things she wants) and work (all the things she feels she has to accomplish) in the same day is a great day around our house.

The next visit with the oncologist is Thursday, 3 May. We are in hopes that the tumor makers have continued to fall and other counts (red, white blood cells, liver function, etc.) have continued to increase.

We are just 26 days from a date that changed our lives in so many ways nearly 2 years ago. We are in awe of Karen’s health which stands in stark contrast to the prognosis we were given. We hope you can join us for the second “Celebration of Life” get together on Wednesday, 30 May. It will be in Newnan, GA from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. If you think you may be able to attend or for more details, please email us at ruheavenbound@numail.org

Thank you for checking up on Karen and praying for her. Until next time…

Thanks for sharing your good news with us! You always inspire us to make each day count for Christ. May we ALL be more thankful for those "normal days" when we have the strength not only to work but also to play. What a blessing!

Karen what joy it was for the Desperate for a Cure Housewives to have you and your wonderful family join us at the Relay For Life Walk on Friday night. It's such blessing to see you looking so well and even able to join us for walk around the track. Your faith continues to guide us in our endeavor to raise as much money as we can for The American Cancer Society and someday we hope that no one has to fight this disease anymore. God Bless You!
